For Slack

Recognition that lives
inside Slack.

Culture Engine is a Slack app for peer-to-peer recognition with real rewards. 60 seconds to install, start free, and a bot that lives in the channel your team already opens every morning.

What it does

Three surfaces. Zero learning curve.

/shoutout

Recognise teammates in a modal — not a thread.

Run /shoutout from any channel. Pick one or more teammates, attach a coin amount, tag the company values it reflects, and optionally attach a screenshot. Posts to your designated #culture-engine channel for the whole team. (On Pro, ask the bot for a first draft.)

/coins

Wallets and budgets visible to every teammate.

Anyone can run /coins to see their giving budget, redeemable balance, and weekly allowance. The bot replies ephemerally — only the person who asked sees it.

Reactions

Pile-ons are first-class.

The bot reacts to every shoutout and keeps the moment alive in-channel, so a win gets the room behind it instead of scrolling away.

What we ask for

Every Slack permission we use, and why.

Least-privilege by default. Anything tied to AI features (reading message history) lives behind a separate opt-in consent — we don’t ask for it at install.

Full data handling commitments in the Privacy Policy and DPA.

  • chat:write, chat:write.publicPost shoutout messages to the channel your admin selects.
  • commandsReceive /shoutout and /coins slash commands from your workspace.

Setup

Live in two minutes.

No SSO config, no SCIM provisioning, no procurement. An admin installs it and your team starts the same afternoon.

Add to Slack01

A workspace owner or admin clicks Add to Slack and approves the permissions above.

Pick a channel02

Culture Engine posts to a #culture-engine channel by default. You can point it at any public channel any time.

Set a weekly allowance03

Decide how many coins each teammate gets per week. We seed it with a sensible default.

Real recognition,
where work happens.
